Visit to the Nara Deer Park enroute to Osaka

After a morning's walk around Kyoto, we took the train bound for Nara to visit the Deer Park.
We got off at the Kintetsu Nara Station train station, which has a nice display inside the station. Outside the station was a shopping street with restaurants. We followed the line of people crossing to the street that led to the deer park.
There were a lot of deer in the small park, being fed by visitors. Laurel bought some wafers made specially for the deer and went around feeding them. An elderly Japanese gentleman showed her how to hold the wafer above her head to get the deer to bow, before giving it the wafer.
The Kohfukuji Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site, was next to the Deer Park. We did not have time to go for a tour of the temple's interior but walked about the various buildings that made up the complex.
On the way back to the station, we walked through the narrow shopping street and decided to stop at Mos Burger, a Japanese burger chain with an interesting menu. We ordered chicken tenders (they were huge), a sausage sandwich, fries, soda and a matcha sundae.
After the late lunch, we took the train to Universal City Osaka, where we will stay for 3 nights to visit Universal Studios Japan and Osaka.
