Ephesus Museum, Selçuk, Turkey

Following the tour of the ruins of Ephesus, we stopped for lunch at a nearby restaurant that catered to large tour groups. The lunch buffet was excellent, there was a wide variety of Turkish food to please most people. We ate al fresco, sitting at outdoor tables under a huge cover. Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos at lunch.

After lunch, we took visited the Ephesus Archeological Museum nearby. This is a small museum showcasing the artifacts excavated from Ephesus, the most noteworthy being the statute of Artemis taken from the Temple of Artemis in Ephesus.
Tonight, we had dinner in the same area I walked to the night before. The restaurant, Altin Kapi, was located on one of the side pedestrian streets with other restaurants and stores. We sat on the other side of the street, across from the restaurant itself, great for people watching.
Starter: Side salad with bread, humus, tomato and eggplant relish
My main course (beef cooked 3 different ways) was huge! The other option was chicken kebab. This restaurant was known for its meat, although it provided a vegetarian dish for those who were vegetarians.
Dessert was sutlac, a rice pudding that was "burnt" at the bottom. It was interesting, a little too soft and soggy for my taste. Later in the tour, I had better tasting sutlac at hotel buffets.
I had a glass of the local brew, Efes, to go with dinner. The beer was light and mild tasting, cold.
And of course dinner ends with a glass of Turkish tea.
After dinner many of us walked back to the hotel, after stopping at Tugba nearby to buy more Turkish delight and other goodies to take home to the US.
