New Ross and Dunmore, Ireland

I signed up to visit the Dunbrody emigrant ship, a reproduction of the ship that left Ireland for the New World (United States) during the great potato famine of the 1840s. It was a very interesting tour! The guides, dressed in costumes of the time, gave us an idea of what life was like onboard, especially for the poor. It was a sobering experience.
After the tour, the bus dropped us back at the port. I walked around and took photos of the lovely scenery, especially the thatched cottages.
