Hiking the Suwanee River Trail, FL

I thought I would have to leave Suwanee River SP without seeing the place because it was supposed to rain today. But the rain has stopped by the time I woke up at 7 am although it was cloudy. I skipped breakfast and went hiking "way down upon the Suwanee River". I still remember a few bars from the song, Old Folks at Home, which we sang in school choir. I did not realize that it is the Florida state song.
There are a number of trails in the park but since I have a 4.5 hr drive ahead of me, I decided to hike just the Suwanee River trail. I was the only person on the trail: the park has not opened to the public yet at that time. It was very quiet and peaceful, and incredibly scenic. Wish I could stay longer and do some fishing around here.
This is a park I would like to come back again in the future. I drove to my next campground, Fort Pickens near Pensacola. I located a BJ's gas station in Pensacola; using my BJ's card saved $0.30 a gallon over the $4.29 a gallon at other stations. While at BJ's I bought a rotisserie chicken which will last me several meals as well as a big bag of roasted peanuts to replace the nuts that got eaten by some animal back at Manatee Springs. You can be sure that I will not leave these out at night.
