Silver Springs State Park, FL

I really enjoyed staying at Alexander Springs but was a little anxious about the battery which has gone down to about 56%. mostly powering the fridge, phone and lantern. On the way to Manatee Springs SP, my next campground, I stopped by Silver Springs SP on the recommendation of a camper yesterday. Was I glad I did! The park, near the town of Ocala, was quite built up. There were volunteers directing traffic because there was an event going on today, Springfest, celebrating conservation and the environment.

The springs were pretty amazing, so blue. The log in the foreground of the photo was actually underwater (not a reflection) The water was so clear you can see the details. . They also have glass bottom boat tours and kayaking around the springs, but there is no swimming or scuba diving here. I have to come back in the future to do the kayaking.
