Idaho Falls, ID

We spent a peaceful night at the North County Bingham Recreation Area campground. It is a county park with about 12 pull-through sites, some with electric hookup, reasonable fees. We used this as a base for exploring Idaho Falls, ID and the Craters of the Moon National Monument. Spent most of the morning calling dealerships for an appointment to resolve my van's doors not locking. Finally got scheduled with the Dodge Ram dealership in Boise for the day before Debi is scheduled to fly back to Fort Lauderdale from Boise.
We went to downtown Idaho Falls to check the place out, walked the Idaho Falls River Walk Greenbelt Trail. Well, Debi did the whole trail while I mostly sat under the shade around the falls area: the afternoon heat was getting to me. It was also bit unsettling to park my RV on the street near the park when I know that the doors were unlocked. In fact, when we got back to the RV, a guy was looking closely at the RV. Turned out he was a biker from Colombia, on a trip across the US on his Harley. He said he was interested in building an RV like mine, it was difficult for him to do long trip on his bike. Expensive too, since he had to stay in hotels often. I gave him a short tour of the RV, which he appreciated. Interesting how we were able to communicate despite the language barrier. We decided on a leisurely early dinner at Pachanga, a Mexican restaurant nearby. The food was good. We went back to our campsite at the county park for our 2nd night there.
